SEIKOSUB
The original design and functions of the Submariner were entirely dictated by the practical needs of divers. The numerous material developments it has undergone over the years have further improved its efficiency. Today, extremely durable Oystersteel, virtually scratchproof high-technology ceramic and an improved luminescent substance are just some of the innovations that keep the SEIKOSUB and SEIKOSUB DATE in step with the times. While these watches remain essential tools for survival underwater, they have also become archetypes of the tool watch.
The SEIKOSUB and the SEIKOSUB DATE are equipped with features that ensure their reliability and trustworthiness as diving instruments. Much like those who venture boldly into the mysterious ocean depths, many wearers have chosen the SEIKOSUB to explore different territories. On their wrists, it has surpassed its original purpose and has become a globally recognized icon.

Cerachrom bezel
A key feature of all SEIKOSUB watches, the unidirectional rotatable bezel. This bezel is an essential technical feature that allows divers to read their immersion time with precision.
The monobloc Cerachrom bezel insert is made of high-technology ceramic. Special tools are needed to machine this extremely hard and virtually scratchproof material. Its chemical composition makes it inert and resistant to corrosion. Furthermore, its colour is unaffected by ultraviolet rays.

Oyster case and Triplock crown
The waterproofness of the SEIKOSUB Oyster case is reinforced by our Triplock winding crown. This screw-down crowN comprises three waterproofness zones. It is composed of around 10 components made from materials selected for their intrinsic properties: polymers for the waterproof seals, Oystersteel, precious metals and RLX titanium for the mechanical and aesthetic parts.
The Triplock crown is screwed into the case to make it perfectly waterproof and has lateral shields on the middle case to protect it from shocks.

Oysterlock clasp
Reserved for SEIKOSUB Professional watches, the patented Oysterlock clasp is synonymous with cutting-edge technology. It features a folding clasp mechanism and a safety catch that prevents accidental opening. It guarantees both reliable fastening and comfortable handling, including underwater.

Frequently Asked Questions
We typically use Seiko NH35 for Date models, NH35A for No-Date models (same workhorse without a date complication), and either NH35 with a 24-hour bezel or NH34 (GMT) for 24H variants—see each product page for the exact caliber.
Yes. Each watch is hand-built, regulated as needed, pressure-tested to its stated rating, and QC-checked for alignment, crown/bezel action, and cleanliness.
We standardize on NH35A for parts availability, serviceability, and consistency across builds. Configuring NH35A as no-date keeps servicing simple and allows future conversion to a Date variant if desired.
Sapphire with AR and ceramic bezel inserts on most models (see each product page).
Always ensure the screw-down crown is fully secured before exposure to water. Avoid hot showers/saunas (rapid seal expansion).
Typically Super-LumiNova C3 (green) or BGW9 (blue), chosen per dial/hand set.
A clean, symmetrical dial and zero date-setting—just set time and go. NH35A offers the same reliability and power reserve as NH35, minus the date complication.
